In case of in-patient treatment, the Klinikum Osnabrück will create an individual offer at short notice. During the process, the cost calculation is executed based on the currently valid DRG guidelines and the Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (German Schedule of Fees for Physicians) (GOÄ). We will inform you of the foreseeable costs of the treatment and the maximum treatment duration.

A cost estimate concerns a provisional calculation of the treatment costs which may be corrected up or down depending on the progression of the treatment. As soon as payment has been received, your admission can be organised.

The next step is to pay the amount stated in the cost estimate to the Klinikum Osnabrück. The payment may be made via bank transfer or credit card.

A specific appointment for in-patient admissions is issued following the receipt of payment for the calculated costs.

We are happy to support you with the completion of entry formalities. As soon as the payment confirmation has been received, we will issue you with an official invitation which you present with your application for an entry visa to the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in your home country. You can find detailed information concerning the visa application on the website of the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in your respective home country.

For the purposes of preparing an invitation, we require the following information: Surname, name and date of birth of the people entering the country (the patient and accompanying persons, as stated in the passports), and the identification numbers, issue and validity data in your passports.

The city of Osnabrück has many hotels and inns located near the clinic. We offer our support in finding a suitable hotel which accords with your wishes. The Klinikum Osnabrück has arranged special conditions with several hotels which you may take advantage of as a patient and accompanying person.

In case you are not able to communicate in German or English, we can mediate translation services (subject to charge).

After the treatment has been completed, you will receive a final invoice from us for the costs incurred. If the total claim is less than the advance payment you made, the funds not used will be refunded to the payer immediately. If the total claim exceeds the advance payment made, an additional payment must be made. Additional costs due to unforeseeable complications in the healing process are to be paid. Other symptoms that were noticed during the treatment are not included in the cost estimate.
